Spotify announced the launch of a feature that will allow listeners to comment on podcast episodes on the platform. The tool allows greater interaction between content creators and their listeners.
Initially, comments will only be visible to creators, who need to enable the tool, with the possibility of making the message visible to the entire channel, specific episodes or none of the options, in addition to being required to review and approve the comments.
“Comments are a highly requested feature by podcasters and Spotify listeners, and we're happy to offer it because we're passionate about making Spotify the best platform for all types of creators to connect with their biggest fans,” wrote the company, in a statement. The feature will be released to everyone soon on the Android and iOS app ,” the company said in an official statement.
In addition, a new, more inclusive application will be launched for podcasters, with improvements that will allow the creator to know immediately if their program is performing well and entering a streaming stop.
The new 'Spotify for Podcasters' app will be gradually released to creators in the coming days, according to the platform.
